Most people know Veteran’s Day is November 11th every year. But many people may not know November is National Veterans and Military Families Month. At Benito’s, we want to celebrate the strengths of military members and their families and their contributions to our nation.

 

As part of that commitment, we will honor veterans and their families throughout November with our “Salute to Service” campaign.

 

Free Big Ben or Extra Large Pizza every week

Every week in November, we will choose at least one veteran or veteran family to receive a free 24” Big Ben pizza or an Extra Large Deep Dish pizza from nominations submitted that week! 

One $500 and one $1,000 gift card

During Veterans and Military Families Month in November, Benito’s Pizza will give away hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards to deserving and needy Veterans and Military families. Veteran and Veteran Family Resources

Military OneSource is a 24/7 connection to information, answers and support to help veterans and their families overcome challenges and thrive. It includes assistance for tax services, spouse employment help, webinars and online training, relocation, deployment tools, and much more.

The Military Veterans Foundation supports the Detroit Veterans Center (DVC), a transitional housing facility and resource center. The DVC provides the skills and confidence needed for homeless veterans to return to independent living.

Honorably discharged, war-time veterans and their families are assisted by Wayne County Soldiers & Sailors Relief and Michigan Veteran Trust Funds with burial and financial assistance as well as answering questions about veteran-related programs.

Oakland County is dedicated to honoring Veterans’ service and helping you map out all the benefits you’ve earned. We have highly trained and accredited Veteran Benefits Counselors to guide you and your family members and advocate on your behalf.

This memorial honors the thousands of service members who died while serving honorably on active duty from 1985 to the present.
